Nov-05 Effect of overweight and smoking on fertility

In a study of 8457 women on their first IVF cycle, smoking was associated with a lower delivery rate and higher miscarriage rate.

Women with a BMI greater than 27 also had a lower delivery rate. BMI may be simply calculated by dividing weight in kg by the square of your height in metres. Lifestyle factors can improve IVF outcomes.
